Forecast Launch and Fei Jun’s Interesting Worlds: The World Tour
Event date: 30 January, 2022
Join us for the opening of the Forecast event series with an introduction from Alice Sharp, Artistic Director of Invisible Dust.
We’ll then be talking to acclaimed Chinese artist Fei Jun, Invisible Dust Art-Science Producer Lucy Wood and a range of co-creators from across the globe on a digital world tour of Forecast’s flagship artwork: Forecasting: Interesting Worlds.
This ambitious and interactive digital artwork – translated into both English and Mandarin – was co-created with 13 people across the world who were asked to describe five objects that stand out as being the most important or influential to their thinking about the future.
With these selections, the artist created a bespoke ‘future universe’ for each participant. The choice of objects, and the way they are placed form a dialogue, an illusion, a moving universe of their hopes and fears.
This is an interactive event, and we want you to reflect on and bring your own chosen ‘object’ to share digitally as part of an interactive Q&A section. You’ll be able to access the event (via Zoom or YouTube Live) by logging into Eventbrite and visiting the event page.
